AI marketing for tire and wheel businesses

The last four digits on a tire's sidewall tell you the week and year it was made, and plenty of drivers have never looked. Tires age out as well as wear out. Flo turns that kind of knowledge into posts drivers can read before the blowout.

Tire sales are mostly replacement, often urgent and always a comparison. The shop that explains what the driver needs, and says it has it in stock today, answers the question the driver is asking.

Written for the driver comparing quotes.

Which kind of tire business are you?

A tire chain with stores across a region, an independent tire shop and a mobile tire tech working from a van all sell a replacement drivers usually need sooner than they think. Pick yours.

You have questions. We have answers.

What comes up on the first call with a tire shop.

How do we explain tire age to customers?

Show them the date code. NHTSA explains that the last four digits of the tire identification number give the week and year it was made, and notes some manufacturers recommend replacing tires six to 10 years old regardless of tread.

Do we have to register tires?

Independent dealers selling new tires must follow federal registration rules, which can include giving buyers a registration form. Registered tires get recall notices, which is worth telling customers.

What about TPMS warnings?

Most passenger vehicles from model year 2008 on have tire pressure monitoring, which must warn within 20 minutes when a tire is 25% below the recommended pressure. A post explaining the light tells drivers what it means and when to stop in.

How do we compete with online tire retailers?

On installation, stock and speed. A driver with a flat today needs a tire today, mounted and balanced by someone nearby.
