AI marketing for IT services and MSPs
Many of your prospects may be financial institutions under the FTC Safeguards Rule without realizing it. Tax preparers, auto dealers, travel agencies and mortgage brokers are all on the list.
The most valuable thing an MSP can publish is the sentence that makes a business owner realize a federal rule applies to them.
Written for a rule your clients have not read.
Which IT business are you?
A national MSP, a regional managed service provider, and a break-fix technician working alone sell to the same small businesses with completely different economics. Pick the one that matches what you run.
IT services use cases
Four jobs the platform runs on an MSP account, aimed at prospects who do not know what they are exposed to.
Name Their Obligation
Show a prospect that a federal rule already applies to their business.
Sell Before The Incident
Content that reaches somebody while they still have a choice.
Explain The Contract
Response times, scope and what is not included, which is where disputes start.
Replies In Your Voice
Reviews answered as the firm that holds somebody's infrastructure.
Other professional services firms we set up differently
Managed IT sits next to the other practices a business hands an entire function to.
Marketing by company size
The same platform, framed by how many people bill, not by what you advise on.
You have questions. We have answers.
What comes up on the first call with an MSP.
Which of our prospects are actually covered?
More than they think. The rule's definition of financial institution reaches businesses significantly engaged in activities financial in nature, and the FTC's own illustrative list includes tax preparation firms, auto dealers that lease vehicles for longer than 90 days, mortgage brokers, travel agencies operating in connection with financial services and career counselors who specialize in finance-sector clients.
What is the notification requirement?
Since May 2024, a notification event involving the information of at least 500 consumers must be reported to the FTC as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after discovery. That is separate from, and additional to, state breach laws.
How do we sell before an incident?
By making the obligation concrete. A business owner who reads that their industry is named on the FTC's list and that a 500-consumer breach means a federal filing has a reason to act this quarter rather than after something happens.
Our disputes are always about scope.
Which is a publishing problem. Response times, what is covered and what is billed separately, all written down publicly, give the client the terms to read before signing, not only in a contract clause.
