AI marketing for garden centers and nurseries
A garden center can make a big share of its year on a handful of spring weekends, and the weather decides which ones. Flo keeps the posts ready so that when the sun comes out, people already know what is on the benches.
Plants are perishable stock with a season measured in weeks. The store can tell people what is ready this Saturday while it is still at its best.
Written for the first warm Saturday.
Which kind of grower are you?
A garden center with a retail yard, a gift shop and staff, and a grower selling from a greenhouse or a market stall both depend on a short season and the weather. Pick yours.
Garden center use cases
Four jobs the platform runs on a garden account, most of them squeezed into the weeks that pay for the year.

You have questions. We have answers.
What comes up on the first call with a garden center.
Spring is chaos. When would we ever post?
Before it starts. The posts for the busy weeks can be drafted in February, and then released on the Thursday when the forecast says Saturday will be warm. You approve them from your phone between deliveries.
Did our hardiness zone change?
It may have. USDA's 2023 map moved about half the country into the next warmer half zone, based on far more weather stations than the 2012 map. USDA says part of the change comes from better data and methods, so it is a planting guide and not a forecast.
How do we sell plants online?
Most garden centers do not need to ship. What they need is for people to know what is in stock before they drive over. A weekly post and a short email say what is ready right now, which a web shop does not.
What about the winter months?
Houseplants, holiday trees and wreaths, and workshops give people a reason to visit. They also give your list something to read before the spring.
