What changes when you have more than one location
A single business needs one voice, one Google Business Profile and one set of social accounts. A franchise or group needs a shared brand with local detail: each location has its own address, reviews, offers and staff, and each one ranks on its own in local search. The software has to handle both levels without making head office write everything twice.
That changes how you read a price. Every unit you add multiplies the bill, so the billing unit matters more than the headline number.
How tools bill multi-location accounts
We grouped the multi-location pricing we found on vendor pages into three patterns.
| Pattern | Example | What ten locations cost |
|---|---|---|
| Per location | Service Stories, from $29 per location a month | From $290 a month; $4,990 at the $499 full tier |
| Per location, annual contract | Marqii Base, $90 per location a month | $900 a month at list; groups of 5+ are quoted |
| Per brand | Emelyn, $29 per brand a month | $290 a month if each location is set up as a brand |
| Workspace bundle | Native Agency, $499 for 10 workspaces | $499 a month |
| Flat plan with caps | Blaze.ai Growth, $149 with 10 posting accounts | $149 a month if ten accounts are enough |
Ten-location figures are our arithmetic from each vendor's stated price. Actual quotes for groups may be lower.
None of these is wrong. Per-location pricing tends to come with work done per location, such as local content or review management for each address. Flat and bundle pricing is cheaper at scale but can mean one feed of content shared across every location.
Ask how a location is defined
The definition changes the bill. Service Stories defines it on its pricing page: six auto shops are six locations, a plumber covering ten service areas from one office is one location, and an agency with three offices is three, because each location has its own Google Business Profile and social pages. StayFi bills per WiFi access point, not per property. Guesty and Hospitable bill per listing or property.
Other costs also scale by location. Podium charges a $500 network fee per location for Podium Phones. HiJiffy charges setup fees for every five properties. Teachworks charges $35 a month for each extra branch. Add these to the monthly figure before you compare.
Questions to ask before you roll out
- How do you define a location, and is a service area a location?
- Is there a group or franchise rate, and from how many locations?
- Can I add and remove locations mid-term, and how is that billed?
- Are there per-location setup, network or onboarding fees?
- Who owns each location's Google Business Profile and social accounts?
