MoFlo vs

DropInBlog
An embeddable blog for sites that can't easily host one — publishing, not writing.
How they compare
DropInBlog solves hosting. MoBlogs solves writing. DropInBlog drops a styled blog into a site that can't easily host one, starting at $199/mo, with AI that assists rather than writes. MoBlogs generates SEO-structured posts and publishes them to WordPress, Webflow, Wix or Framer for $149/mo. We ran this site's blog on DropInBlog for over a year and moved 177 posts off it in August 2026 — the notes below are first-hand, not competitive research.
Pick DropInBlog if you have a site with no practical way to host a blog — a Shopify or BigCommerce store, a static site, a builder without a real CMS — and you have someone who writes. The embed genuinely is the fastest path to a good-looking blog on an awkward site, and the SEO analyser is better than what we replaced it with. If you need staging, audit logs or SSO for a content team, their upper tiers are built for that — MoBlogs is built for businesses without a content team rather than for governing one.

Choose MoFlo if
Pick MoFlo if the blog is empty because nobody writes it, if you already have WordPress, Webflow, Wix or Framer and don't need an embed, or if you want the blog handled alongside social, email and Google reviews for one subscription.

Why teams switch to MoFlo
$149 that writes beats $199 that hosts
DropInBlog's Team plan is $199/mo for unlimited posts you write yourself. MoBlogs is $149/mo and drafts them — structured, SEO-optimised, published to your CMS. If the reason your blog is quiet is that nobody has time to write, the cheaper product is also the one that fixes it.
Check how your posts actually render
This is the lesson from our own migration and it applies to any embedded blog, not just DropInBlog. Fetch one of your posts as Googlebot and read the raw HTML. If the article text isn't in there, search engines and AI crawlers may not be seeing what your browser sees. We assumed ours was fine for about a year.
An empty blog is still empty
Publishing tools are judged on how good the blog looks. Content tools are judged on whether there is a blog at all. Most small businesses that buy a blogging platform have the second problem, and buy for the first.
One channel, three still open
DropInBlog is blogging. Your social, email and Google reviews need something else. MoFlo's bundle is $299/mo for all four — $100 more than DropInBlog's cheapest plan, for four channels instead of one.
The price moved, and not in your favour
DropInBlog's tiers now run $199 / $499 / $999. Worth checking what you are currently paying against what a new customer pays, and what your renewal looks like. Ours was one of several reasons the move made sense.
Switch to MoFlo with a clear plan
01
Export via DropInBlog's JSON API — it is genuinely good and gets you posts, images and metadata cleanly.
02
Map your slugs before you move anything. Keep them identical where you can; redirect where you can't. We kept ours and it saved a lot of ranking pain.
03
Set up MoBlogs against your CMS, connect the site, and let FloGen generate against your existing topics so the new posts match the old voice.
04
After cutover, fetch every migrated URL as Googlebot and confirm the body text is in the raw HTML. Do it twice — some platforms serve a stale build on the first request after a publish.
